Senior Project Manager (hybrid)
Position Overview
As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will drive the successful delivery of software development initiatives across Product & Technology. You will provide planning and execution leadership, structure, and visibility across multiple teams, ensuring predictable delivery through strong planning, dependency management, and data-driven decision making.
In addition to planning and execution, you will play a critical role in bringing structure to ambiguous problem spaces. You will help teams clearly define what problems are being solved, why they matter, what outcomes they enable, and how success will be measured- ensuring strong alignment before execution begins.
You will operate in highly technical environments, partnering closely with Engineering, Product, and Data engineers to manage cross-team dependencies, anticipate risks, and drive execution discipline at scale.
Purpose, Scope and Responsibilities
- Own Delivery of Complex Technical Programs: Lead end-to-end execution of software initiatives involving multiple development teams. Define and manage integrated plans, including milestones, dependencies, critical path, and sequencing.
- Project Planning: Build realistic and structured project plans in collaboration with Engineering and Product, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, dependencies, and technical constraints.
- Problem Framing & Outcome Definition: Partner with Product, Engineering, and key project stakeholders to structure ambiguous initiatives. Drive clarity on objectives, problem statements, expected outcomes, success criteria, and business impact before execution begins.
- Cross-Team Coordination & Dependency Management: Orchestrate delivery across multiple teams (2+), actively managing cross-team dependencies, risks, and blockers to ensure smooth execution and alignment on commitments.
- Execution Cadence & Governance: Establish and run execution cadence (status reviews, stakeholder updates, follow-ups). Ensure consistent reporting standards and adherence to PMO governance.
- Risk Management & Decision Making: Anticipate risks early, assess impact, and drive mitigation strategies. Make and influence trade-off decisions under ambiguity to maintain delivery predictability.
- Delivery Visibility & Forecasting: Provide clear and predictive visibility into delivery health through dashboards, KPIs, and reporting (progress, risks, blockers, planning accuracy, milestone variance).
- Process Definition & Continuous Improvement: Define and standardize ways of working (WoW) across Product & Technology in collaboration with key stakeholders across workstreams. Establish baselines, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement to enhance execution effectiveness, scalability, and predictability.
- Documentation & Operational Clarity: Ensure high-quality, structured documentation of scope, decisions, and processes. Define clear guidelines on “what good looks like” to enable teams to operate efficiently and consistently.
